What additional equipment do I need in order to perform measurements with my stereomicroscope?
FAQ Report
Basically two items need to be purchased in addition to the customers new stereomicroscope outfit, an eyepiece reticule and a stage micrometer (preferably calibrated). This will excced the performance of your microscope a lot.

The eyepiece reticule easily inserts into the reticule holder found on the underside of the adjustable eyepiece and superimposes the scale of choice over the image that the customer sees.

Important: For measurement proposes two adjustable eyepieces are needed. You cannot measure when a fixed and an adjustable eyepiece is being used .
The stage micrometer contains a scale (or scales, in some cases) that when imaged through the microscope lends perspective to the measurement values inherent to the eyepiece reticule scale at various magnifications.
Complete instructions on the use of reticules for measuring specimens can be found in a separate literature piece published by Leica and can be provided at your request.
